Really a big thing! EU military project “Go green” spends €200.000.000

It does not happen every day. The European Defence Agency (EDA) published call for project European armed forces ‘Go green’. There is 200 milion in the budget! The scope of the project is “the feasibility analysis, preparation, implementation, maintenance and operation of photovoltaic panel installations for renewable energy production on selected armed forces pilot sites of the 7 contributing Member States of ‘Go green’. Each pilot site shall be equipped with photovoltaic panels to generate renewable energy either in parallel or sequentially for the overall project duration and in accordance with the schedule discussed during the procurement procedure for a period of up to 20 years.” EDA is purchasing on behalf of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Greece, Romania and Luxembourg.
