The European Commission is going – probably in April – to open a large tender for communication and IT equipment for its civilian missions anywhere. The winner will get four-year framework contract.
The contract will be divided into four lots: Lot 1: IT. Lot 2: radio V-UHF/HF. Lot 3: Comms. Lot 4: VTC videoconference.
The EC will conclude the contract while the specific contracts will either be concluded by the Commission or by the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy special representatives. In exceptional cases the European External Action Service and other EU instruments or needs may be declared part of the framework contract.
