EU agency to finance e-platform for women’s entrepreneurship

Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), Brussels opens call for tenders for “Creation and running of a European e-platform for women’s entrepreneurship”. Short description: The COSME 2014 work programme (under objective 4 ‘Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture’) states under the measure ‘Women’s entrepreneurship’ the objective pursued to create a European online platform for female entrepreneurs. The platform would bring together all relevant stakeholders and the European network of female entrepreneurship ambassadors and mentors. The COSME 2015 work programme (under specific objective D ‘Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture’) states under the measure ‘Women’s entrepreneurship’ the objective pursued to update, upgrade, animate and maintain the European online e-platform for female entrepreneurs between 2016–2018. The general objectives of the platform are to: a) provide crucial information and support on access to finance and how to start and grow businesses to current and aspiring women entrepreneurs, as well as signposting training and learning opportunities, mentoring programmes, good practice and case studies and success stories; b) act as a hub for online networking, exchange and cooperation among aspiring and current women entrepreneurs and stakeholders, with an emphasis on the cross-national, European dimension and improving the reach of existing networks and support services. Total quantity: The estimated maximum amount for the execution of all the tasks referred to in this call for tenders is 1 000 000 EUR including all charges and expenses, covering the 12 months of duration of the original contract. The estimated amount for any possible extension of the contract will be a maximum of 400 000 EUR, subject to budget availability. Total duration: 30 months. Deadline: 16/6.
