US Departement of State is going to provide the European Commission´s DG ECHO (Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection) by “provision of assistance in respect of medical evacuation of Ebola virus disease-infected patients”. In details that means Commission “will make the Department of State’s contracted aeromedical biological containment system and aircraft available to the European Commission for medical evacuation of eligible patients”.
