Requirements: The UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB) Secretariat flagship website (http://www.unsceb.org/) serves the needs of a wide audience, including the general public, journalists, academia, researchers, Member States and UN system colleagues. Public content includes reports, background material, statistics and publications. Some content remains hidden behind a password as it serves internal coordination and collaboration among UN system organizations in management and programme areas.

CEB Secretariat seeks support in the design, development and maintenance of their flagship website. An all-round solution is sought, whereby a digital communication agency will assume certain tasks associated with the following website lifecycle processes:

  • Graphical design, usability & responsiveness
  • Development & testing
  • Information security (hardening & monitoring)

In response to evolving functional requirements and incoming change requests, CEB Secretariat may request interventions that require expertise in website usability, design and development.

Specific requirements: Current website is built on the Drupal platform. Drupal is open source software maintained and developer by a large community of active users and developers. It’s distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (or “GPL”), which means it is free to download and share. This open development model means that people are constantly working to make sure Drupal is a well-supported platform incorporating the latest technologies that the web has to offer. The Drupal project’s principles reflect CEB Secretariat needs for functional modularity, application of universal standards, collaboration features and usability. This project supports CEB Secretariat in the design and development of a revised website and thereafter by assuming a more operational role that addresses standards compliance and security.

Background: HeForShe is a global advocacy platform with a bold vision to engage 2 million men in playing a more active role in bringing about a more gender equal world. HeForShe currently has 1.5 million active followers and would like to grow this through the provision of more relevant communication based on individual followers’ core interests. HeForShe would like to put a CRM in place to act as a supporter engagement hub. The idea is to increase awareness moving people from supporters to advocates through defined ladders of engagement. The CRM would allow HeForShe to recognize the work of supporters across the globe who conduct gender awareness activities or fundraising on behalf of the movement. It would also have functionality that would allow HeForShe to communicate with all or a subset (easily filtered by data points such as age, gender, country, engagement level etc.) with relevant communications both through direct marketing and indirectly via our social media channels.

EU – UN Procurement Forum, které sdružuje zástupce zemí EU a podporuje snahy evropských firem získat zakázky od OSN, pořádá každoročně seminář pro zájemce. Letos proběhne 9. – 10. dubna v New Yorku.

Kromě plenárních částí a sektorově zaměřených workshopů (pro letošní ročník jsou tématy IT, Cybersecurity, Smart Peacekeeping, Waste Management, Power Generation – Environmental Management, Water Sanitation and Purification, Logistics and Transportation a Construction and Engineering) je největší přidanou hodnotou možnost absolvování schůzek 1 na 1 se zástupci jednotlivých agentur OSN zodpovědných za vypisování a administraci tendrů (každoročně se účastní zástupci UNPD, UNDP, UNOPS, UNICEF, UNLB a další), kdy je možné v případě, že Váš produkt nákupčího zaujme, do určité míry ovlivnit budoucí podoby vypisovaných tendrů a tím zvýšit šanci na jejich budoucí získání.

Partnery pro schůzky 1 na 1 si vybírají přímo zástupci agentur OSN, nicméně všechny české společnosti, které se semináře v minulosti zúčastnily, vždy řadu schůzek absolvovaly (ambicí minimálně UNPD je vždy sejít se se všemi účastníky semináře).

Podmínkou účasti společnosti není předešlá účast v tendrech OSN ani registrace v UNGM. Před vlastním seminářem plánuje UNGM uspořádat tři webináře k různým tématům spojeným s obchodováním s OSN. První proběhne tento týden a účast na něm by neměla být podmíněna registrací na seminář.

Český Generální konzulát v New Yorku získal na podporu účasti českých společností na semináři finance z projektu na podporu ekonomické diplomacie (PROPED) ve výši 50.000,- Kč, která bude sloužit ke snížení nákladů českých společností na účastnický poplatek (early bid poplatek je ve výši 850 USD za jednoho zástupce a byla prodloužena do 15. února 2018, následně se cena zvýší na 975 USD). Finance z PROPEDu budou použity rovnoměrně mezi všechny zúčastněné české společnosti (vždy na jejich prvního zástupce) formou refundace.

Pozn: Tato mezinárodní organizace poptává každoročně zboží a služby v hodnotě cca 17 mld. USD, jde tedy o obrovský trh se značným potenciálem, přičemž z podstaty věci jsou rizika obchodování s OSN velmi nízká.

UNICEF hledá agenturu, která mu vymyslí Email Marketing Tool na míru

Description: The goal of this RFQS is to partner with a qualified vendor possessing demonstrated experience in email marketing and sales, that can offer UNICEF a tool and technical support to cover its marketing needs and the best performance and practice in any future global and local campaigns to keep increasing the number of donors or supporters.

Firstly, the scope is the provision of an email marketing tool and 24/7 support.

In terms of Geographic scope, given the fact that UNICEF PFP provides service to multiple countries that don’t have digital or marketing staff in their offices, PFP will need a tool that would allow segmentation by country and by e-commerce criteria up to +100 countries. In this regard, having the flexibility to create as many segmentations as possible (by country, by amount of donation, by years of retention and by donation fund) and to keep our transactional data up to date from our web services and payment gateways.

Furthermore, UNICEF’s staff in PFP GENEVA may need a training (at least 1 or 2 days) to learn how to use the new tool, as well as technical support at the first stage of the implementation if migration of data is needed or if data mapping should be required. The vendor should be available, if requested, to create specific webinars or trainings for country offices in the future if PFP staff is not available.

Finally, support may be required for Drupal integration of the tool which will primarily be implemented by the PFP appointed contractor for this type of integration development.

Description: UNPA is the postal agency of the United Nations. It is the only organization in the world, which is neither a country not a territory that is permitted to issue postage stamps. UNPA has 3 main offices in New York, Geneva and Vienna, and a liaison office in Beijing. It is the only postal authority that issues stamps in three different currencies, namely, United States dollars, Swiss franc and Euro. Its mandates are to disseminate information on the activities and achievements of the United Nations and its specialized agencies through the medium of postage stamps, as well as to generate revenue for the Organization. UNPA processes around 37,000 orders per year, which translate to a total sale figure of approximately US$ 4.5 million annually. There are roughly 40,000 active customers and 30,000 SKUs. Currently UNPA has a customized system called Mega-Stamp, which was developed as a specialized sale, inventory management and financial system for UNPA. UNPA also maintains a stand-alone website (unstamps.org) with online store for customers to browse, order and pay for UN stamps and related products. For counter sales system, UNPA uses a third-party software called ERPLY. As of November 2015, UNPA started to use SAP system for all purchases, inventory management, production and capturing of all human resources and other operational expenses. It also uses SAP to consolidate sales from various legacy systems mentioned above and use it for financial monitoring and reporting purposes. It is UNPA’s objectives to replace the older Mega-Stamp, website and ERPLY systems with an integrated system accessible via web (i.e. web based system) that can be made to integrate with the SAP system.
